Enhance organized research collaboration and
jointly conduct thematic studies.
strengths of both universities in fields such as food security, forest governance, biodiversity, and bio-economy, and actively expand strategic partnerships with international organizations and platforms including the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO). Focusing on critical global issues spanning development, security, and civilization, we will adopt a problem-driven and demand-oriented approach, establish a joint research mechanism for key projects, and cultivate interdisciplinary researchers proficient in Chinese and Portuguese with deep insights into both countries’ contexts. Our collaboration aims to produce high-impact academic outputs, including: Globally influential scholarly works, Policy-shaping advisory reports, Internationally leading journal articles, collectively addressing the epochal questions of “What is happening to our world?” and “Where is humanity heading?”.
